TheChase500 is a free browser cricket game built around one impossible challenge: a mysterious opposition has posted 500 for no wicket, the most flawless innings the sport has never seen, and your job is to build an XI good enough to chase it down.
Spin the wheel to land on real ODI World Cup squads from 1979 to 2023, draft your all-time XI under real position rules, and watch a ball-by-ball simulation chase the target. Reach 500 and you join the 500 Club.

Every successful chase of 500 earns a spot in the 500 Club, ranked by the fastest chase, plus boards for the most 500s and the longest daily streak. Before the relaunch with real World Cup squads, the game ran as an open beta from June to October 2026. The top ten of that beta, the fastest chases and the most 500s, are etched onto the Honours Board, the way a hundred at a famous ground goes up on its board, and they stay there for good.
There is nothing you have to sign up for. Sign up with Google and your 500s are saved for good, follow you between your phone and your laptop, and unlock My Career: your top run-scorer's full stat sheet and your best ever innings. It is optional, and your handle is what appears on the board, never your name or email.
